LEADING THE WAY THROUGH the Digital Information Jungle
In a world in which every aspect of our lives seems to be increasingly dominated by technology, understanding your and your organization's legal risks and rights can be mind-boggling. Nowhere is this more evident than in issues of copyright and privacy: What kind of information may your organization collect about its users, clients, and employees, and how may that information be used? What are your obligations in protecting the privacy of your users, clients, and employees? How does copyright law apply to the digital and online worlds? What constitutes "fair use" in this new environment?
Gretchen McCord brings a unique blend of experience to the table in helping you and your organization understand and address copyright and privacy issues. With a total of over fifteen years of experience as a lawyer and a higher education librarian, Gretchen can lead your educational institution, library, or non-profit organization through this jungle of unknowns.
